Activities

All activities undertaken by every section have to be reviewed by the Scout District Team to ensure they are safe. Examples might be hiking, camping, pioneering, fire-lighting, cooking and cycling. These normally require Risk Assessments which are subsequently available to parents for their information. They can be found on the following pages.

Adventurous Activities that carry enhanced levels of Risk have to be supervised by trained and assessed leaders. The Group is particularly lucky in having leaders who have permits for the following Adventurous Activities:

Archery

Canoeing and Kayaking

Raft Building

Open Water Swimming

Hill Walking

Weaselling (Landslip Caving)

Climbing

Skiing
